This coming Advent, change is coming to the translation of our responses and prayers in our Eucharistic Liturgies. The changes are a result of consultation in Rome that began over a decade ago. There was at that time, a feeling that Vatican II translations were rushed and did not, in some cases, adequately express the Latin understanding. One such translation was the Roman Missal – the prayers of the church that are led by our priests and that we participate in through our acclamations and responses. Thus, the entire Roman Missal was redone so that we will have a new Roman Missal as of November.
With change, there is a need for education and understanding – YOU are invited to a workshop that will look at the changes, the resources in our parish and how we as the parish of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys will implement the new Roman Missal. The workshop is scheduled for: SATURDAY, OCT. 22 – 10-11:30am at Sacred Heart Church in Timberlea
