Children's Stewardship Conference

3rd Annual Mini-Stewardship Conference

Tuesday November 27, 6:30pm

St Marguerite Bourgeoys Church

As part of our Religious Education Program, we will take time to appreciate all that God has given us.  The children will have the opportunity to show their appreciation by doing and witnessing acts of Stewardship

Activities that will take place:

·      Year 1 and 2 children will decorate and fill candy bags for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper project (l50 bags were filled last year!)

·     Year 3 children will write/draw Christmas messages for residents at White Hills Long Term Care Facility.

·     Year 4 children will create images for the Jesse tree that they will present at the 10am Mass on December 10.  (helping to make Advent more meaningful for Parishioners)

·     Year 5 and 6 children will hear about Acts of Stewardship from our neighbors.  The Ministry, Street Connection, will be on hand to share with the children “their story.” The children will have the opportunity to tour the bus that provides the soup kitchen that distributes food and necessities to the less fortunate.

All parents and are encouraged to stay and “see” what Stewardship is for our children.  Also, there will be the opportunity to make a monetary donation to Street Connection.  There is also a need for hats, mittens, and socks for children aged 10-12.
